The purpose of the Board of Directors is to undertake management of the business and affairs of the Association. The goal of the elections process is to ensure the Board represents a broad spectrum of the T&E community; a mirror of the functional diversity of the community to include members of the technical, management, policy, and analysis sectors. Go here for additional information on the duties and responsibilities of an ITEA Board member.
There are two categories comprising the Board of Directors, elected members and appointed members.
For the 2017 elections, the committee will seek candidates to fill the following vacancies:
Elected directors will each serve 3-year terms from October 2017 through October 2020, and will be presented to the membership during the 33th Annual International Test and Evaluation Symposium, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia, on October 2-5, 2017. Any Director appointed by the Board will serve for one year (2017-2018).
The Elections Committee, a standing committee of the Board chaired by Mr. Matt Reynolds, oversees the nomination and election of Directors. Nominations are openly solicited from ITEA Chapters, the Board of Directors, the Senior Advisory Board, Corporate members and Individual ITEA members. The Elections Committee will follow the ITEA Bylaws and established policies of the Association in evaluating nominations for the Board of Directors and developing the slate for balloting. The Elections Committee will screen candidates for nomination based on the approved ITEA Board of Directors Policy for the Nomination and Elections Process. This policy is available for review here.
Nominations for elected or appointed positions are to be submitted via nomination forms that can be found on the ITEA Web site (www.itea.org).
