2025 TIW TENA/JMETC Solutions for Test and Training
ABSTRACT
As DoD focus shifts again toward the value of T&E, the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) invites test and training ranges to discover its proven solutions for issues commonly experienced across disparate facilities during events. Developed in 2006, the Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) program is the DoD’s corporate approach for linking distributed facilities with an LVC testing capability. JMETC utilizes the Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA), which provides real-time software system interoperability by interfacing to existing range assets, C4ISR systems, and simulations. Reuse and interoperability of range assets is tremendously improved by reducing range development, operation, and maintenance costs. In addition, TRMC Enterprise Big Data Analytics (BDA) and Knowledge Management (KM) tools and techniques have the capacity to improve acquisition efficiency, keep up with the rapid pace of acquisition technological advancement, and to ensure effective weapon systems are delivered to warfighters at the speed of relevance, as well as enabling T&E analysts across the acquisition lifecycle to make better/faster decisions using data previously inaccessible or unusable. This tutorial addresses how to use the well-established TRMC tools, capabilities, and techniques to reduce risk in an often-uncertain environment, while regularly saving ranges time and money in the process.
