Accelerating the Pace of T&E Workshop
WHEN: May 20 – 21, 2025
WHERE: Portsmouth, United Kingdom
THEME: Delivering T&E to Support the Pace of Technology Change
OVERVIEW
In today’s world the pace of technological innovation is constantly increasing, driven by an increasingly global market, commercial drivers to remain competitive and key technological enablers. T&E is too often seen as a drag on this, slowing down the ability of organisations to get their products to market, reducing our militaries abilities to rapidly field new capabilities ahead of our adversaries, whilst still being critical to ensure products perform. How does T&E evolve, grabbing the opportunities these technologies provide to T&E, to ensure we can deliver the needs of our customers at a pace that they need. T&E organisations must adapt people, processes, tools, and policy. In addition, many of the systems to be tested, for example, autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles, are part of a digital ecosystem and contain artificial intelligence elements. We must understand how to test at scale, how to assess data , how to adapt our organisations and processes to accommodate the inevitable incorporation (and sustainment) of machine learning test tools, and how to recruit, motivate, and retain a highly skilled workforce including scientists, engineers, technicians, and mechanics.
