The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) is the nation’s only high school focused on the integration of cyber technology and engineering into all academic disciplines. ASCTE is a public, residential magnet high school serving students throughout the state of Alabama. The head of school will discuss the methodologies and curriculum used in this novel school, and the tour participants will see some of the “hands-on” capabilities being used by the students to develop the future workforce.
The HudsonAlpha Institute is a non-profit research institute centered in the Cummings Research Park with a mission to use genomics to improve life. The institute conducts research in collaboration with public academic institutions as well as serving as a business incubator for biotech companies. State of the art genomic applications for health, agriculture, and other areas will be discussed as well as a tour of the unique facilities.

Tell a colleague or University/College Student you might know! Pre-registration is not required. Upon arrival you will receive a badge which will allow you to gain access to the Exhibit Hall during the hours posted. Spread the word!

Pick Up: Badge, agenda, any other collateral material and make any necessary last-minute payments. Registration includes the general sessions on Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday and Thursday – that includes technical track sessions, refreshment breaks, lunch, and the grand networking reception on Tuesday evening and a Social/ Open House on Wednesday evening.

Business attire. Meeting room temperatures may vary, please be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket to ensure comfort.

Pre-Workshop Tutorials IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SIGN UP
1. Tutorial Registration Fee: $300pp for one class and $500pp for two classes (lunch is not included)
2. Pre-Register is appreciated, walk-ins are welcome (payment received at registration desk)
3. Complete two courses, you are eligible to take the Certified T&E Professional (CTEP) exam for free ($300-500 value). Abstracts Available online and for your convenience, the topics are also listed below.
4. Tutorials qualify for Continuing Professional Education credits.
5. A Certificate will be awarded for completing each course, upon request.
