For Planning Purposes: Make plans to vote early! The 2024 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. We have modified the agenda with Exhibits set-up on Monday all day and Tuesday morning. Tutorials will be offered Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, and the Symposium will begin on Tuesday afternoon.

Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering
The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) is the nation’s only high school focused on the integration of cyber technology and engineering into all academic disciplines. ASCTE is a public, residential magnet high school serving students throughout the state of Alabama. The head of school will discuss the methodologies and curriculum used in this novel school, and the tour participants will see some of the “hands-on” capabilities being used by the students to develop the future workforce.
HudsonAlpha Institute for BioTechnology
The HudsonAlpha Institute is a non-profit research institute centered in the Cummings Research Park with a mission to use genomics to improve life. The institute conducts research in collaboration with public academic institutions as well as serving as a business incubator for biotech companies. State of the art genomic applications for health, agriculture, and other areas will be discussed as well as a tour of the unique facilities.
