  • Technical Workshops Check out the 2023 calendar.

Warning. The Test Instrumentation Workshop will be conducted in May and has some important deadlines pertaining to attending certain sessions. You will not want to miss your chance to register on time to take advantage of all the presentations, the hands-on-lab exercise, hearing the guest speakers, and participating in the networking opportunities. The theme, Instrumentation in a Constrained Environment is already drawing a crowd with registration numbers rising!

  • Education in T&E Earning continuing credits for your professional growth.

Did you know that ITEA provides educational courses that align with the four domains of the T&E Certification program to groups in government and industry? We have a contract with the Workforce Development Office at a Navy command for a T&E Fundamentals course and are in discussion with another Agency to provide a course on Design of Experiments. We make it easy and affordable to bring T&E education to you. To learn more, contact us at education@itea.org.

  • New Format for The ITEA Journal It is Interactive & Searchable.

We are excited to share the news that the new scholarly/professional, online-only ITEA Journal of Test and Evaluation is interactive, Google searchable, and a contemporary resource for the T&E community! The new format of The Journal will allow it to become a resource to the T&E community. This format will allow the articles to easily be shared across government, industry, and academia connecting the community and allowing us to find innovative solutions for the minds of both current and future members of the T&E workforce.

Dr. Laura Freeman, ITEA Publications Committee Chair and Editor-In-Chief of The Journal, brought forth a proposal for change to the Board of Directors last year. And this quarter it available to you! “I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to pioneer this new format for the Journal to make our content more accessible to the Test and Evaluation (T&E) community. We hope our readers find this new format easier to browse and search online. We will also be moving to web-based submissions to the Journal in the upcoming months. Please stay tuned as we continue to improve the Journal for our readers!” – Dr. Laura Freeman

ELK Management has been working closely on this effort and would like to extend its appreciation to Laura Freeman and Danielle Kaufman, Editor of The Journal for their research, insight, energy, and dedication to this project! We also want to thank Linda Rapp of Rapp Design and Bob Shinn of DublinBlue who were instrumental in the design and implementation of the new and improved, ITEA Journal. Their work is outstanding and their work-ethic, immeasurable.

To gain visibility, increase readership, and promote the benefits of membership, the leadership also agreed to open the issue to the public for a short period of time. We will track the usage and report back to the membership on its success.

We continue to encourage our membership and their colleagues to submit technical articles for consideration in The Journal. The abstracts for the upcoming themes for 2023 can be found at the ITEA website, but below are the topics for your convenience. Please note, we are still accepting articles for the June Issue, Test the Way We Operate – Best Practices and Lesson Learned.
