Are you Certified in T&E?

Where else can your employees test their knowledge?

It is usually beneficial to seek out certification within your industry; and for those in Test and Evaluation, it’s no different. For instance, government employees can become certified through programs offered by the Defense Acquisition University, but did you know that for over 10 years, ITEA has been administering, managing, and awarding the Certified Test and Evaluation Professional (CTEP) credentials to individuals in both the government and contractors/ businesses.

We are a  trusted non-profit education association with a Board of Examiners that developed the questions necessary to test individuals to enter or advance in the field of test and evaluation. To learn more about the 4 Domains of the program including T&E Planning; T&E Design; T&E Execution; and Test Data Analysis, Evaluation and Reporting visit our website or contact us at education@itea.org.

Educating the Workforce

Earning continuing credits for your professional growth.

Did you know that ITEA provides educational courses that align with the four domains of the T&E Certification program to groups in government and industry? We have a contract with the Workforce Development Office at a Navy command for a T&E Fundamentals course and are in discussion with another Agency to provide a course on Design of Experiments. We make it easy and affordable to bring T&E education to you. To learn more, contact us at education@itea.org.

Remarkable Results for The ITEA Journal

Gaining New Readership

We are pleased to announce that the new scholarly/professional, online-only ITEA Journal of Test and Evaluation has reached new heights! The first quarter results are in, and we have had more than 3000 pageviews with 864 sessions.  We would like to thank those in the T&E community who have not only read the articles but shared them with your colleagues and peers.

This new format allows the articles to be shared easily across government, industry, and academia connecting the community and allowing us to find innovative solutions for the minds of both current and future members of the T&E workforce.  This new format of The Journal has allowed it to become an open resource to the entire T&E community for a short time.  Join now to continue reading these relevant topics.

We continue to encourage our membership and their colleagues to submit technical articles for consideration in The Journal. The abstracts for the upcoming themes for 2023 can be found at the ITEA website. Get Published!

The Publications Committee will accept other topics for consideration as they begin to lay the groundwork for the 2024 issues. As always, we welcome you feedback by emailing us at journal@itea.org.

Kempsville High School provides Intern for 2023

Learn Early and Often

Last year, during the ITEA Annual Symposium, High School student Evan Sabile provided the symposium planning committee with volunteer hours to support the event, on-site. He was interested in staying connected with ITEA and asked if he could intern for the Association in the future. In the first quarter of 2023, ITEA partnered with the Entrepreneurship and Business Academy at Kempsville High School, where Evan is currently in his Junior-year. As a non-paid Intern, Evan has been working on a campaign to highlight the benefits of the STEAM competitions held at ITEA events. ITEA is proud to be enhancing the future T&E workforce and pleased that Evan has been such a valuable part of our story. If you attend the Cybersecurity Workshop in August, you will have the opportunity to meet Evan in person as he volunteers his time, once again, with yet another planning committee.
